Punto dn60 reg, 1.2l 8 valve euro 5 eco Evo.

Been ages but need to disconnect battery. Will do a post on why when job done.

Please can someone in the know advise about battery disconnect and reconnect procedure please ?

Disconnect battery negative first

Reconnect negative last

That's all there is to it no special procedures needed the radio code if the factory radio will.be stored in the body computer

Open the bonnet, also. That is important in the procedure, but to the OP there is no special procedure just disconnect it, the negative terminal first is for safety, as while undoing bolts on the positive terminal if the spanner touched the body of the car or any other metal bits of the engine, you'll short the battery which rill result in lots of sparks or in extreme cases can cause the battery to explode (thats pretty rare though).

So just follow @chris3234 advise of negative first on disconnecting and last when reconnecting all for your own safety and you won't go wrong.
