 HELLO - WE MADE IT, there and back! :D:D:D

We had a great time, although I am currently feeling very blue and a bit of a zombie. Sitting at home, all alone, dead quiet, the unpacking is littered all over the place, it is grey and cold outside, and Massa didn't quite get the job done last night.

The last two weeks have been HECTIC but fun. I am trying to sort photos out and remember just where we have been. In the meantime some pics are on here ...

More to follow
Cheers Guys

Well, I have checked the notes/photos... Luciano, the little 1.2 Pop, completed 2,930 miles - without a single niggle. He has seen France, Belgium, Nederland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Monaco (and home of the San Marino grand prix) in two weeks.

He topped 104 mph - fully laden; drove an F1 circuit; a rooftop; a mountain track and some fab passes, has seen sun and snow (and plenty of rain which put an end to the official finish line in Brighton) and been the first Fiat 500 to complete The Italian Job! .. and raised money for needy causes.

Welcome back, glad you made it without a hitch (as we expected).
Looking through the pics on the charity website, I was glad to see you got plenty of coverage, and you weren't the only 500 too!
Its funny though, I dont remember there being quite so many BMWs in The Italian Job film!!!

p.s. I've got a picture of me in that ex-racing Ferrari too!

Thanks people for your warm welcome home, it is appreciated.:D

I am just beginning to come to. We have spent the last few days driving amazing routes, swanning around posh hotels with over 100 people and being treated like lords. It is a bit of a shock to go back to work and I am having to catch up with sleep. I will post photos ASAP (not sure how many I am allowed to??).

Yes Benny, there were a lot of BMWs on the job, sign of the times – but you spotted it, there was an ally in the camp! :) One lady called Minty hired a 500 – joined us Saturday and left us in Turin. She had a pretty 1.4 funk white lounge with 16s, bonnet strip and opening sunroof – but everyone said they preferred ours! Ahhh. She was writing an article for Country Life! (may be in the December issue).

We did not see many 500s on the road throughout our trip. Rarely on the motorway, but obviously more in the cities - you are just as likely to see an original one.

We did track down an Abarth though (y)

Cheers
Jenny

some more .. Hotel Hohe Acht. The view at sunset was lovely. Then these hot English cars arrived and it got better!! They went out cruising that evening and woke me up at midnight - but it was a 'nice' noise to disturb your sleep. Luciano, 1.2 Pop shopping car - the odd one out, but hey start as you mean to go on!

Some fast open roads meant lots of bugs!
