Hello.
I have the following fault codes
B1029, Door lock release relay, short to ground.
B1003, key transponder incorrect code
B1004, A bus serial line communication error.
I have had the tipper now for 2 months and spent most of its time back at the dealer
Are these codes anything to worry about?
The bloody key fell into bits before and the dealer just won't replace it lucky for me I bought a replacement case as I new it wouldn't last long so changed it all over to the new case and checked it still worked thank god!!!!
It has a orange bulb lit on dash...

Short to ground should be very easy to trace and the other two could be related to the same fault e.g. frayed loom.

Bloody hell frayed loom.... it's only done 34.000...

Its just a suggestion, I would start with the short to ground as that is easy to trace with a multimeter. You never know whats been done to it before your ownership, mechanics often break clips or forget to reclip wiring when servicing/repairing.

The other two errors are common when you crank the van with a low battery / bad battery.

or maybe the "work" done to deal with the last issues:chin:

Re: Eradicate idling
It's a 2.2. It's come up with
P0504 brake switch
U0426 electronic key
U1601 CAN Network (NCM)
___________

The last work done was cam network fault told by finance company (as I was wanting my fist to meet the dealers face) that the egr valve was changed and it took 18 days due to 'exceptional circumstances' it had a abs fault and the key as stated above but came back with the two other faults as above. Plus a broken indicator on the door mirror with deep scratches on it as well, and a snapped door latch (between the door hinges on the A post). The dealer denied everything (BEN BUCK commercials) and my scum of a finance company sided with him. Fookers... so don't think they need to go into the doors really....

Thanks for the replies people. I will get the short to ground checked right away

Paul

Hi Paul,

these odd issues are often caused by either aftermarket electrics addititons,
Alarms , black boxes, phone / radio kit,

or people not putting covers back on fusebox lids and getting water / damp in the works,

Charlie
