Morning All,

First off I'm new to the forum so would like to say Hi to one and all!

I own a 1.4 Fiat Grande Punto Sporting
Having problems getting Blue & Me to play music.
My phone (an Android HTC Desire) is linked up to B&M and works fine in terms of bluetooth for calls (though not text reader, not sure how that works).

The problem is I can't get any music to play.

I've tried connecting my phone via glove box - i get an option on my phone to "mount phone as disk drive" (same as if i was connecting to pc).
Then select "find media" - No media found. Every time, no matter what I do i always get "no media found".
Its really frustrating because the first 2-3 days when I had the car it worked fine. Then one day connected as normal and it refuses to work.

The music files on the phone are ALL mp3 Format.
Tried putting MP3 files on a USB stick - same thing wont find any media.

I have also tried connecting my I-Pod via glovebox. Same thing no media found!!!.

How do I get around this problem?
How do you guys play your music via B&M?

FYI - Head unit is standard Fiat one.

Hope someone can help and apologies if Im posting in the wrong section.

Thanks in advance

Hey mate

I use a 8GB USB stick. I do have a Android phone (Samsung Galaxy SII) but never bothered to hook that up although use that for the B&M without any issues - older Android software did play up a little but I rooted my phone and put a custom Rom on there which has worked great...

I've occasionally had issues with my USB stick playing up after a certain amount of time where its stuck on a folder and I can't change album - when this happens I simply disconnect the battery for a few seconds (just undo the quick release clip on the black battery cable and then back on) - this resets the media library and the system scans all the music folders on the USB stick once again. Might be worth a go trying that?

Also you could possibly try updating the software if you haven't ever done that? - I recall doing mine about a year ago as Fiat released a newer version of B&M software to support some more phones - didn't do any harm to my system.

I have a 07 plate 1.4 GP Dynamic Sport

Hi - thanks for your reply and for the tips.
I will try re-setting the battery see if that works.
How do I update the B&M software?..Does it mean a trip to the dealership.

Thanks again mate

Just thought - is there anything risky about reseting the battery? I don't want to do it if it is going to cause potential other problems.

Cheers
