Styling  awesome grille

Youl have to get the hacksaw out to get the 'knob off! (y)

The rear looks quality but ive got too admit the front could do with being a bit lower. Theres a company http://www.coilsprings.co.uk that can change the ride height without altering the rate for £35.

hehehehehehehe @ alexGS

i've thought of cutting the bars out of mine but just leaving in the fiat bars if you know what i mean?! lol

also, charlie, you have to use proper text as there are quite a few people from other parts of the world that use this site and they won't know what your on about ;) just to let you know mate

Nova or not i think that the debadged mesh grille lookz way better than the standard grille. But everyone has different taste so each to their own i say. By the way i had a nova GTE for a while when my Uno Turbo was off the road and although i love the uno turbo the nova was not a bad car either. Just a pity all the Chavs get the 1.2s and put stupid plastic kits on them and huge exhausts thinking they got some formula 1 car lol speaking of chavs about a week ago there were some chavs trying to race me in my uno turbo, me being a smart ass see the police in my rear view so i slow down and then the chav accelerates even more thinking that the blue xenon headlights in his rearview mirror is another souped up motor. 5 minutes down the road mr chav is pulled over by the boys in blue and breathalised lolzzzzzzz

i really like the mesh grille!! wanna do it to my uno. going to aswell!!! just a shame that the almighty uno is, in some eyes compared to the not so almighty nova :(

also thinkin of investing in an uno turbo after ive been to uni!!! what are the engine sizes available for the turbo?

The engine in the Punto GT is the same as the Uno Turbo lump isnt it?

Im very tempted to do an engine conversion in mine, but Punto GT engines are more easily available.

Could someone clear this up for me...

Sorry for the thread hijack btw

its pee easy, all u need to do is take it out, then unscrew the top part, theres basically a piece of green plastic which filters out the led light colour, so what i did was take that green plastic out and replaced it with blue. Looks cool with a white dial kit. i'll take pics and post them up when i get a chance.

Yeh i did it to a mark 2 uno turbo, all i did was use some blue plastic film which i got from my uni, its used for photography and gives a nice tint out. You can get it in red as well, all i did was then cut it to size and fitted it. Looks pretty good if i my say so myself :D When you open it up for yourself you will know what i mean. Or you can try maybe painting the LED bulbs with tint paint to your colour but i dont know how effective that would be. About the exhaust not sure if its a straight fit but you can fit almost any backbox to any car as long as you are skillfull enough mate. Like i've got a 4.5 inch scorpion back box off a Sierra Cossie fitted to my Uno Turbo for instance. Saw it gleaming in all its glory at the Srappy, cost 30 quid and a tenner to fit by my mate. :D

I made the instrument cluster RED in my Uno Turbo, it was a wonderful improvement! The needles are red anyway so the insipid green lighting was really not very nice.

I went to an automotive parts store and bought red silicone rubber caps for the bulbs. Then I prised the top light-box off the cluster (it's glued on with super-glue, so quite easy to reattach) and removed the green filter strip. The Uno Turbo has three bulbs, by the way, where standard models have two (a piece of data you really wanted to know ;))

As for the grille issue, well, what can I say? You guys are so kind, this forum rocks (y)

started my grille today. went to the breakers yard near by and got charged a fiver (£5 for those who dont know.hehe). the hacksaw blade was taking far to long and was trying my patience a little.lol. so out came the "black&decker scorpion" with the jig-saw fitting. took about 5mins to get it all cut out, then smoothed level with a file and some sandpaper. justa bout to start the filling with p38!!
~looking good so far~ (y)
