General Aux belt problem what size have I got wrong one?

My aux drivebelt failed (2.4 abarth) tensioner pulley caused it I have got a new tensioner but the belt i got 6PK1145 seems to be to tight can't for the life of me get it on (other belt came off so I dont have it to compare) do you know if this is to small and what size belt i need maybe 6pk1150?? any help appreciated I realise it will be a little tight but it is stupidly tight cant get it on at all I am used to the tensioners as I have had Alfa's with same setup :bang:

6PK1145 is listed as the correct belt for the 2.4 engine.

I suspect either you're not backing off the automatic tensioner enough, or routing the belt incorrectly.

Hi, Have fitted to my Abarth since 2008 6PK1148 micro v belt . As recommended by motor factors

will try again in morning it went on with the old tensioner but tensioner had play in it so got a new tensioner and it is backed right off but would not stretch over this time hence thinking one a fraction bigger

Sorted got a 6pk1150 fitted easily but comparing to the other belt thinking it may have been a belt fault as this one fitted easily as it should, thanks for the help and sods law I hit the problem as i needed the car
