Don't know if related, but some years ago trying get a drive shaft for a smallbus/converted motorhome, I beleive that was ZF related and strangely like certain large Renault saloons around then, in so much as it was front engine, front wheel drive , but postioned front to rear and the gearbox pointed towards the "transmission tunnel" if it was normal front to rear old school.
A bit like Hewland Racing gearboxes style.
I appreciate yours is auto but may be of that style layout.
Incidentally if the transmission was rear wheel drive as the Iveco Daily and Renault Mascot/Mastif were rear wheel drive but used the same Iveco/Sofim 2.8 engine? Although I never came across an automatic version at the time, but there probably were some.

Having said all this I am guessing yours is front wheel drive as using the AL-Ko frame.
If it is ZF there are companies advertising repars etc. in UK, maybe some nearer you.
