I was wondering if you had any advice, or heard of a similar problem.
My timing belt snapped 2 weeks ago. This bent 8 of the 16 valves, and I got a good price off a mate, to fix it.
Since the repair the engine is running fine but the auto gear box is making the car drive like a complete F£*^ing Dog.
When cold there is very little power accelerating from a standing stop.
The box drops down at unexpected times.
The guy that fixed the engine seems to think that the electronics that control gear change may have went into a safe mode when the belt snaped, and he suggests taking it to an auto electrics specialist, or fiat, to see if this is the case and have it re-set.
Any ideas if this is the case?? i.e. safe mode when something major happens?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Deka
