I've got a twin air manual which I love driving but the other half is more interested in a automatic but I've read there's issues getting away from the lights etc. anyone know if they've made any improvements with the 2015 model? Do you get much acceleration or does it dither too much figuring out the right gear?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Hi, and welcome,:)

you've not said what vehicle..??

Ah yea good point, Fiat 500 Lounge, you can tell I'm new.

Just afraid I'd hate the auto and miss out on the fun I have with the current car

Nothing wrong with an auto! Or even a flappy paddle, semi auto. Dragsters use a 2 or 3 speed auto, F1 and rally drivers use semi autos. Most marques now have a clutchless box option like VW's DSG box.
The Yanks have always preferred autos. Long gone are the days when an auto (or slush box) were the preserve of the executive barge.
Just spend an hour crawling round the M25 and you'll be glad you chose the auto. (y)

Had various auto boxes for over 40 years now and all have some "quirks"
Just purchased Twinair Duologic and find no problem with it at all.You can use it in full manual mode or full auto and even change gear manually whilst in auto mode!!!

Only negative is the car does "struggle " if starting off up a hill when it tries to change up a gear.Probably my fault as I am used to large deisel engined autos with much higher torque and I don't use enought revs( Wife is much better than me)
