Do you have any scanner device for personal use?
And if yes, what brand & model?

I have an Epson V200 flat bed. Also does slides/negatives.

It's fine for reasonable scans of slides but our pre-digital cameras were not great. VERY slow on higher resolutions but most are.

Don't get me started on printers..........

Michael - unusually I wasn't being sarcastic with the scanner advice, I assumed you meant an image scanner.

Are you talking about a FIAT device to plug into to read error codes and the like? A few folks on here I think have various devices.

I am looking for a device like the one cammy89 suggested. Searching on the ebay, I found this

and I honestly do not know if it's money worth spent or not!

Do you guys know, if there is a significant difference between the two? Is there something that the second one is capable of and the first isn't ?

what are u actaully looking for it to do if its just to diagnose a fault or reset an engine managment light first one will be fine if you are wanting it to do much more than that then second one seems a better choice?

dont you have a laptop? if not you be better off with a cheap one off ebay so you can run http://www.multiecuscan.net/Default.aspx.

hand held are limited most will only do engine codes, some gear box. they wont do fiat only codes, airbags or steering.
