Hi,

My amp for my sub in the boot has stopped working for some reason. I think that it is the fuse beacuse when i wiggle the fuse around and find a certain position the sub sort of pops as if its playing the bass and then when i let go of the fuse it turns off again so i think that the fuse needs replacing.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

maybe u blew ur amp? have u been playing it too load?

no i never have it really loud. It turns on when i wiggle the fuse to a certain position but when i let go it turns off again.Could it be the fuse? Like dodgy connection on fuse from where ive been taking it in and out of the amp?

it coule be yeh. 1st move would be change the fuse. but before u do that, check all the other connections make sure all the wires are connected, clean atc.

Amp troubles

Sounds more like your amp has a dry joint on its board.
I sugguest you try what others has told you, then if thats no good, I'd remove from car, and remove cover, and check circuit for a dry joint. You may need to use magnifying lens and spot light, then you want a soldering iron and some solder and fix it .

Dont worry sorted it was the fuse,

thanks anyway guys.

Well ive just had exactly the same thing happen to mine, ive changed the fuses ive opened it up nothing wrong inside, what can i do now???
except buy a new amp??

Well the way i no it was my fuse is because there is a gap in the connections lol so its obvious. Have a look in the middle if the fuse on the wire and see if its one piece or if it has broken somewhere
