audio experts!help with amp!

tomoro i am getting an alpine v12 4 channel amp for my component system and 6 by 9's, at the moment i have a 2 channel amp for my subs, i am buying some splitters for the RCA and power lead. do i connect the RCA to the 4 channel amp or do i just connect the power wire and the wire to the speaker themselves, or do i have to connect the RCA 2?if you get me?

the rca will have to be connected to both the front and rear channels on your 4 channel amp and the amp running your sub. Make sure your power wires are big enough for it. If your head unit has more than 1 rca out then run more than one rca lead. Your 4 way amp may have an rca out which you can run your 2 channel off to save using a splitter.
