Hi, I'm in the process of fitting an Emovis Tag in advance of a trip to France next week.
Instructions are not clear as to where to fit it, there is some room to stick it on the black area that the rearview mirror is on but Emovis say it should be on the mottled area which is too small.
Will it work 1st time or will it have to be attached on the clear glass so it is in full view?

Got a tag for when we went to France 3 years ago ( saved the divorce cost...... ) and it said to put it on the black bit because the reflection through the clear part means the camera / sensor will not be able to connect.
I would assume your reflective screen would be even worse.

I had a Citroen, but same van, and it had a bit under the overhead shelf cut out especially for the tag.

It fell off towards the end due to the heat but we held it up in position when at the booths and it worked great.

How sure are you that you have an athermic screen? They're not standard fit as far as I'm aware. I have a French toll tag and found it works best positioned at the bottom centre of the screen on my Ducato. Similar height to the top of a car windscreen. Works great in the HGV non stopping lanes (y)
