Technical ASR light

My asr light (the slipping wheel) on the dashboard doesn't come on for 4 seconds when I start my car. Also when I turn the ASR off, the light on the dashboard doesn't come on. I only get the message that the ASR is off and the light on the switch comes on.
According to the Fiat dealer this is normal. The ASR light will only come on when it detects a system failure.
Is this right? In the manual it reads that the dashboard light must come on for 4 seconds when you start your car and when the ASR is off or failed.

You are right and the dealer is wrong.
Has the bulb or LED gone? Everything else sounds normal

They said the lamp is oke. And they can not find any fault messages in the system. If the lamp was broken the dashboard light of a broken bulb must come on.

If the warning light is never working then it's not ok
Bulb failure warning is only for exterior bulbs like brake lights and parking lights
You won't get any fault messages for the ASR warning bulb/LED gone
Get into your car and turn ignition on. If ASR warning light doesn't come on immediately then you have a problem which is most likely just the bulb gone or it could be another fault like wiring connector to the dash gauges

All other lights are working. Only the ASR light doens't come on.
The ASR system works oke by the way. When I turn it off than the wheels can spin.
With the sytem on the orange light with the triangle and arrow arround it flickers when the wheels strart to spin. But the ASR light remains off.

Do you know if it is easy and cheap to replace?

Never needed to change one before. I'll see what i can find out

Ok they're mini LED's and not easy to change unless you're an electrician but LEDs are pretty robust normally (whiich is why I've never needed to change one) so maybe it's wiring connector at the back of the dash gauges

Does your ABS warning light come on ok? It's just the ASR (wheel with loose chippings) warning not working yes?

I'd pull out the dash gauges and try some contact cleaner on the connector at the rear of the gauges

It is only the ASR (wheel with loose chippings) light that won't come on. The ABS light works fine.

I will try to clean the connector.
