Might help if you state the engine size of the Punto and Bravo.

I am 99.9% sure that a 6 speed box from a punto sporting will fit as long as your car is a 1.2 16v, also the 5 speed box should to and so should the punto HGT fit if your bravo is a 1.8

Fiat Marea Weekend 2.0 20v HLX 147 83k and so far so good!

my bravos the sx 80 (1.2), i would have thought they would fit in each other if the engines are the same

ahhhh ha! my kinda thread :)

the bravo will take the gearbox from the MK1 and Mk2 punto, mk1 can be from the 1.1 or the 1.2, and the mk2 from the 1200.

The 6 speed can be fitted, but you will need all the linkages aswell to get it workin.

The Mk1 punto boxes will be missing one bolt from the read engine mount that fits to the subframe, it will be the middle bolt onto the gearbox, and has no detremental affect on anything (Patch will attest to that, i kept killing diffs)

cheers andy, appreciate it mate, can finally get the box sorted, mk2 i recon though. a final question did your bravo loose any top end power?

cheers rob

she lost her legs top end, but she supprised HGT's getting there ;)

I only ran MK 1 boxes due to being able to get them nice and cheap... the MK2 box I would hazzard a guess at having a better ratio set and longer final drive, so would be a little better suited to the Bravo
