Was getting my thermostat replaced at a local garage but they couldnt get into the housing where the thermostat is. I got told it would be fiat that would be able to get into the housing so then phoned them for a quote which i knew would cost more but they are chancers!!!
They quoted me over £200 i mean come on... not even an hours labour!!
thermostat itselt is no more than £10!!
This is the second time iv dealt with these unprofessional monkeys.
Now not sure what to do because its only fiat that can get into the housing where the thermostat is but not willing to pay oer £200!!!
fiat are a joke. why did i buy a fiat scudo? :bang:

Took the taxi to 2 different garages and they both said it would be fiat who can get into the housing where the thermostat is. I'm not 100% sure why but by going by 2 different garages i took their word.

what year is the car/van?
did you try independant fiat specialists or just normal every car garages?

have you got a photo of your engine bay? since you posted this every chance ive had to look under a scudo bonnet i have, and they all had easy to do thermoststs right at front of engine held in by 3 bolts

seriously if its 3 bolts why are you even taking it to a garage? dont you know how to use a spanner? righty tighty lefty loosey and all that?

maybe medical reasons or has no tools or just dont want too.


Taxidriver, try peugeot garage as its their engine and they alot cheaper than fiat.
