Hello, what are opinions on either:

Full set of Apex uprated Dampers + Springs or

Blistein Shocks with Gmax springs

The 2nd being cheaper, but not by much so.... Opinions please

Personally I wouldn't bother with uprated shocks, they are usually too hard and make the car skittish.

But, my back RH side shock has gone, and i was gonna get them lowred on sports spring, so as i need 1, fort id get em all good ones

If u had to choose tho. what would you go for?

I'd go for the bilsteins. Well, too late actually as I have bilsteins ;)

Why not get the bilstein streetline kit? Just over £200 with 35mm springs.

Oh rite, wasnt aware that they produced one for the Bravo, sounds good. Where did you get yours from? Cheers James

Thats a very good price if you consider the OE bilstein shocks are £48.46 each ;)

I tried to get the Bilstein kit but couldn't get hold of it anywhere, was told they would have to order it in specially from Germany and would take weeks.

So I went for the Apex kit, it is stiffer but not too skitty. It was VERY stiff for the first few weeks, but then softened up a bit. The lowering took about a month to drop the full distance.

Overall quite impressed with the Apex, the lowering element looks just right, and the car feels more solid on corners and I now know when it's going to let go better than before.

Although it is definately noticeably stiffer, so if you live/drive in an area with bumpy, pot-hole-filled roads, and value your fillings it might not be for the best :)
