My dealer fitted Eibach springs and tracked it for me ...cheap as chips...
I've driven 2 other 500's as courtesy cars over weekends whilst waiting for my car to arrive and i have to say that lowered springs should be the norm, its much much better,no bouncy bouncy on the motorway and the "body roll" is almost non existent....plus you grin like a cheshire cat going round corners.

And which springs? The Pro-kit or the SportLine? I'm asking this because during the next spring when I put my 16" multispokes back I also would like to install new springs. I haven't decided yet which one will be better! Maybe H&R Springs are also good options. Will see! Can you tell me how much did it cost?

I have H&R that droped the car 35mm.
Anything lower than that.......speed bumps and "uneven" roads would become a problem...

@csabaszalma
they fitted the pro kit i believe.
My dealer bought, fitted, tracked and put into my paperwork for 400 euro.

I am seriously thinking of these Eibachs for mine, been doing a fair bit of motorway stuff in the 500 and the bounciness is doing my head in. However, the car is fine at lower speeds round town and I really dont want any worse a ride:)

Gotta do it NP. Best investment I have made on the 500 by far !

my dealer tracked mine as part of the "process" so i can't comment.
I too would like a strutbrace but they are a no go over here as they don't,as yet, make one thats not for motorsport therefore none that have the required TuV certificate.

It appears that we are very lucky in UK in as much as that we can do pretty much as we want to our cars without having to worry about too many regulations compared with lots of EU countries.

 I think that a balance could be struck between the two that would work for me.

You should see what the poor Italians and Belgians have to put up with! Was chatting to some Belgians who say that their cars have to be standard for each MOT, so if youve any mods at all they must be removed for the MOT:( So if youve a bodykit it has to come off!

I think the German TuV stuff isnt too bad, if we had it here an awful lot of chavs would be mighty annoyed:)

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that in France you're not allowed to tune the engine which is why they have some fantastic body/styling kits. If you can't make it go faster you can make it look like it does.

After reading all this and sitting here looking at my car outside I want mine lowered!
Looks really good on all the photos on here!
I have no knowledge of all this stuff, I just love my cars!
So how would I go about this? do I just buy the right ones online n then find somewhere that will fit them?
And which ones do I go for Apex or Eibach?!?
Also how much does it roughly cost to get them fitted?

How are you guys with lowering springs & strut braces getting on? Had any ground clearance issues at all?

My Apex -30mm springs will be here tomorrow, being fitted at the weekend.

no probs unless you get a foot of snow ;)
