Mine started crashing loads and things the other day so i rang microsoft and they sent me a email with all the info about getting ups to pic it up etc etc and this morning i turn it on to take the game out and all i have is red lights on the front so i think that means its spat its dummy out even more!

has anyone else sent it back to them? if so how long did it take and do they give you a new one or just fix this one?

Also how do i go about getting my xbox live tag back

if you're asking the question i guess you dont know how common this is.

check an xbox forum, or ask your neighbour or even a random passerby, they probably have the same problem. :D
 
sent mine back 3 months after buying it, got it back in about 15 days I think it was, had the 3 red lights again 3 weeks later, disconnected the power for a while and let it cool down etc.. switched it back on and all was fine.
