Ι have the SP-44 which is for tjet.

Easy installation and great quality.

Engine sound changed a lot when revving (more roar:devil:)

Now yours which is not a turbo,I suppose that you will get more benefits from the carbon as the air will remain cold and not get hot by the engine..:)

can you order for a RR day through their website? and would that gurantee itd be ready for the RR day? just heard a lot of bad things about customer support with GSR at the moment thats why im thinking of an alternative?
 
Throught whos website? GSR? No. You would go to the thread on here or on performance Fiat and order it on there. If you order it for a RR day it will be ready.
 
fair enough. sorry to be a pain the a** but which thread is that so im not looking through thousands of the wrong ones? wouldnt mind getting one sorted soonish!

Mine connects at the front pipe which goes to the airbox.

Ofcourse I have.Especially in low-mid range.

Although don't expect anything great with just an induction whatever it is.
 
When i used to have my MG ZR, BMC CDA induction kits were the ones everyone used to recommend.

I know everyone on here rages on about GSR kits, but to me it appears to be a hose with a cone filter on the end?

Has anyone fitted a BMC kit, then compared the gain to that a GSR kit offers?

Surely the enclosed filter will have an effect.
 
GSR isnt just a hose. Go look at a kit. Hundreds of hours are put into developing them to find the best location for the filter to be placed. The silicone tube then changes in diameter getting thicker and thinner as neccesary to get the air going in there optimally where as a BMC is just a filter on the end of some tumble dryer extraction pipe. GSRs were originally sold with BMC CDAs on but when tested back to back with open air filters peter found they made 0 difference to the power gained so they were dropped.

And maybe if GSRs were available for MGs then they would of been the kit of choice over a universal filter.

Filter is there to pick up the dust.I wouldn't worry if mine was getting dirty,that's why it's there..

Although no filter will get dirty easily if you don't get air low from the road.

Mine is up for about 3months and is clean like new,as I'm getting air from the front under the bonnet.

As for the gsr using firstly the cda and then the cone...How much costs each one???:rolleyes:
 
if you have an open filter it still filters the dirt just most of the dirt falls off. the gsrs that used to have the cda was the price of a cda more than they are now.

the tube that comes with the cda should also not be used, the silver bits in front of the dead bird are bits of that pipe that broke up

Yeah,that's true although if you clean it every 3-6 months depending on your mileage and don't live in a dessert I don't think it's such a big deal..:p


I've seen your fotos and I was pretty amazed how the bird got in there...:eek:
I suppose you used the tube to get air "road vacuum" style..:p

The pipe is ok although not for catching air from the road as if it gets hit by a rock or sth and break the "silver bits" it uses to be flexible can get sucked.

BMC has another black aluminum tube much longer which can be used if you want to catch air.

that is the tube that was on it

soon after that pic was taked i fitted abarth bumper and other end of tube was fixed to the mesh on that.
then after the bird i changed it to fit like this.

Thought you had the other tube which is made of some kind of rubber...

Thank God I didn't buy the aluminum then...:p
