GSR isnt just a hose. Go look at a kit. Hundreds of hours are put into developing them to find the best location for the filter to be placed. The silicone tube then changes in diameter getting thicker and thinner as neccesary to get the air going in there optimally where as a BMC is just a filter on the end of some tumble dryer extraction pipe. GSRs were originally sold with BMC CDAs on but when tested back to back with open air filters peter found they made 0 difference to the power gained so they were dropped.
And maybe if GSRs were available for MGs then they would of been the kit of choice over a universal filter.
Fair doo's, i havent seen one up close, just looked at pictures online.
About the testing, that was my point, if its been proven to be the best then they deserve the reputation.
I will probably get a GSR for mine at some point.
