Punto (Mk2/2b) Antifreeze

Hi Guys,

Just joined today.

Looking at doing a coolant change on my 03 punto soon and noticed it needs OAT stuff.

Has anyone used this: eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/antifreeze-and-screenwash/red-antifreeze/?523770511&0&cc5_866&gclid=CKbiy8vgy8kCFSkXwwodfJELUA

It say in the description "incorporating the latest in Organic Acid Technology (OAT)"

Will this be suitable?

blue, yellow, green, red are your options

you can mix antifreeze with same ingredients, usually blue and green can mix, red cant mix with blue and green, dunno about yellow

What you've linked to will be fine, just be sure to flush out all the old coolant especially if it's had any blue stuff in it, otherwise you'll end up with horrible looking murky brown coolant.

not seen yellow anti-freeze....

i have seen purple though!

Disconnect the bottom radiator hose - make sure you get a new clip

let it drain out - put hose back on - fill with water - run engine till hot that the stat is actually open
Let it cool - drain it out again
Reattach with clip
Fill with 1L Neat - then chuck the rest of that pre-mixed in

You will need to bleed the cooling system, on punto's its a BITCH

Ah fantastic, I went for this stuff and will be changing it at the weekend

Blue: G11 (As in Paraflu11), Red: G12+ (As in ParafluUP).
