General Antenna help

Hi,

I bought new Shark Fin antenna for my Bravo but I don`t know how to replace the old one. So if someone knows how to take old antenna down and put the new one please help me.

I think you should remove some clips or screws inside of the car. And that means you have to remove the fabric or that inside of the cars roof.
I also looked for that kind of shark antenna but the change is probably so difficult that i forget that idea.

Can someone find how to remove antenna on ELearn and maybe put screenshots on this forum. I can't open ELearn because I ahve MAC.

shame you cant just unscrew the existing aerial and slot it actually over the existing round aerial roof attachment and plug in there lol

I think i was wrong. I found this picture:

If you click that image to enlarge it, it seems to have screw in bottom. So you should try to unscrew the old aerial mast support. I just try to unscrew it, but i couldn´t take it off. Maybe its screwed so tight?

This new antenna has screw but also a bolt on it so I don't know do I have to take off interiour roof or what?

Remove the rear handles.
Op. 7065C30 GRAB HANDLE (ONE) LEFT, RIGHT OR CENTRE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT INTERIOR - R.R
- Remove the left and right courtesy lights.
Op. 7040E14 L/H OR R/H SIDE COURTESY LIGHT (ONE) - R+R
Op. 7040H80 REAR PARCEL SHELF - R.R.
Op. 7040G30 BOOT LIGHT BULB HOLDER - R.R.
1. Release the seals (1a) for the rear door housing (1b) and the tailgate housing in the area of the remaining left rear trim.
2. Remove the trim (2a) from the backrest retainer striker.
3. Undo the bolts securing the left side cover.
4. Release the inner retainers (4a) for the side trim (4b) using the special tool.

5. Lower the left side trim (4b) without releasing it from the rear seat belt (5a).
- Also lower the right rear side trim, repeating the operations in points 1 to 5.

1. Release the door housing seals in the area of the left upper centre pillar cover.
2. Release the bolt cover.
3. Undo the bolt.
4. Move the left upper pillar cover (4a) by releasing internal retainers (4b).
5. Lower the upper pillar cover (4a), without releasing it from the seat belt (5a).
- Also lower the right upper centre pillar cover, repeating the operations in points 1 to 5.

1. Prise up the rear door housing seal in the area of the roof lining.
2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove side courtesy light housings (2b).

1. Gently lower the roof lining.
2. Disconnect the connection for the aerial lead.
3. Undo the special nut with the split washer.

1. Working from outside the vehicle, remove the aerial mounting and wiring

Just a thought, my friend just got one of these for his car. But it came with a part that just screwed into the existing hole and the shark fin slotted over the antenna mount
