I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what might be the cause to this now annoying/awful noise.

My car is a 1.9jtd 03 plate Stilo with 90k miles on clock, recently there was noise coming from the car, after a visit to my local fiat specialist, he instantly spotted the aux pulley needed replacing. Done that now. However that was not the only noise coming from the car, once the pulley noise had gone, the other one started. It sounds like its coming from the mid/passenger side of the engine. Its there whether its hot/cold or idle/moving. Could this have anything to do with the clutch or flywheel? I know that the clutch does need replacing soon but wouldn't of thought that there would be this much noise from that. The anti-rollbar links have also been replaced.

Please if you have any suggestions advise me of what this could be. Hopefully wont be too expensive.

I don't know a lot about engines, but would coil packs have this effect at all?

Thanks for your help everyone

You shouldnt have to worry about coil packs, not on the jtd!(y)

does the noise change when you press the clutch down??

whoops, sorry about that, you can say it, noob, lol.

The noise slightly changes when the clutch is down, also when coasting the noise seems less. Thanks for your reply

Sorry checked it out again, the noise does not change depending on if the clutch is pressed.
