WhatCar is an absolutely inaccurate piece of **** magazine so called.It is completely needless to even comment more.This is just another try to 'guide' people/buyers to go for the products they advertise etc etc

Infractable offence that mentioning a Focus!
cant really fault my bravo tbh...
i dont care what others think of it i love it
just sailed through its first mot with not a problem at all!
and i wonder how many people reviewed the focus/golf/astra in comparrison to the bravo
if you look on the readers reviews on whatcar... quite a lot of people rate the bravo (and even the stilo) quite well

It's funny because media such a Fifth Gear say its a very sensible and more attractive purchase than a Golf or Focus.
If I owned a bravo, I know id love it MUCH more than my current car.
You buy fiat for style above anything else as there are technically better cars out there. How many cars in the same sector are BETTER looking than a top spec bravo sport?...... none.

The new Megane is arguably a better looking car, as are the new Astras but that's very much a personal choice....
At the time I bought mine I'd have said the Bravo was the nicest, but things have moved on a little since then.
At the moment there's only relatively standard Astras available, but once they release a sportier version it should look brilliant.
I do believe that a lot of these things take a lot of information that they read on forums. Do you bit for the bravo, tell good stories.

Only problem I ever had was with the alpha which always turned off the dynamic stability control in the winter

The Astra in the flesh looks quite bland, almost to the point the older model looks better. The megane looks good in three door, its okay in the 5 door. The Bravo looks nice in the metal.
I am really pleased to know now, that because I have a top of the range Elegenza GP 1.9 M-Jet 120 it has been made with extra care than the poverty spec models. Shame the attention was not paid to the turbo, steering rack, rear brake calliper, drop links, top mounts. Theirs was me thinking all cars are made on the same line.

Astra doesn't look that great in the flesh...
the side window line is very bravo esque...
im yet to have a go in one so cant comment at the moment

Not so sure about the megane yet, although the RS250 is nice. I do like the astra, maybe because it's so strikingly similar to the bravo???
This article has to be wrong. How can Driver Power and nearly all the owners reviews of the Bravo be positive, yet JD Power's results say the complete opposite? Surely all the disgruntled owners arn't gonna hold their feelings in until one specific survey and then let rip all in one go, whilst saying nothing anywhere else?!
If the rest of the survey results seemed miles out i could kinda ignore the Bravo's result, but on the whole the results look about right - the Panda does well, the 500 slightly less so and the Grande Punto awfully. Pretty much reflecting the things people write on here. Citroens appear to do better than Peugeots, which reflects other reports lately. It all looks generally accurate. But then you see the Bravo in the bottom three. Like people have said, there's actually a very small margin seperating the best and worst, but there are so many cars that you'd expect to come lower.
It really makes me wonder if some bright sparks have replied with information about their Mk1 Bravos from 10 years ago & it's somehow made its way into the report. Combine this survey with the crap advertising & recent overpricing, it would appear the Bravo is gonna be another Fiat flop, and I for one am not happy.

The rest of the bravo range (inc 17" alloy sport model) are quite a step down looks wise.
The new megane coupe is easily the next best looking "normal" car on the road.
The new astra, and i've seen loads on the road simply looks bland and annoymous in base spec much like the base bravos.
Wierd how Fiat got the grande punto spot on. Even the base models looked nice, specially the wheel trims which really suited the car.
Fiat MUST start putting wider wheels on their sports models, thats the only thing they cannot seem to achieve style wise. The wide stance look.

Em, the Sport is very wide if you stand and look at it, also, 17" wheels are more than enough, as soon as you go any bigger and its substantialy more money for tyres and a firm ride on rubber bands.
I dont see why people want larger and larger wheels, it just doesnt make sense for your average consumer or the manufacturer.
even the dynamic is very wide from the rear....
i think it looks quite stylish and the silver door handles and window side strips look quite nice and are a subtle bit of styling

I personally think the only Bravo that looks abit plain is the Active one in the dodgy champagne colour. Other than that it looks like one of the best designs in the class.
They all come in some interesting colours, though the Active is let down by lack of alloys & the fact that most seem to have been ex-hire cars in the dodgiest colours available. However the Dynamic gets alloys and chrome bits and the Sport has the unique colours (Maranello Red and Masserati Blue), plus two-tone alloys and body kit to liven it up.
The upgrade alloys on Dynamic (17") and Sport (18") do make a difference, but what's offered as standard is hardly boring. Id say only the New Megane can compete on looks. The New Astra looks nice, but they've so obviously had their eye on the Bravo for inspiration, and having travelled in one, the inside was only marginally better than the usual dull-Vauxhall affair. Most of the ones on the road are Vauxhall UK cars (registrations beginning with 'D') so don't be fooled that theyre selling in great numbers either!
