13% covers the very worst to the very best. I think a lot of people are in denial, and a lot of other people have un-realistic expectations.

Lexus and Toyota at the top? Ummm largest safety recall ever and people still praise their reliability? Idiots the lot of them.

Oh, and because you have the xenon lights, your specimen is supposed to be more reliable than the lower spec models? :D

Mine has xenon, the rare HIFI sound option, skydome, chrome kit, dual zone AC, cruise control, Blue&Me...

so yes, they probably gave a little more care building it than the naked models.

I regularly visit a fiat depot where I see tons of new bravos, I can honestly say the cheap ones look dirty cheap compared to mine. fitting problems with panels not aligned and things like that...

:)

(yes, I typed naked models. enjoy the new google popularity dear fiat forum)

I think your a contender for delusionist of the year. There is no way more care is spent on your car than any of the other ones its just different bits that are screwed to it along with a whole line of others with the same bits. Its a production line mass producing cars nothing more nothing less.

And you're a contender for disrespectful ignorant of the year.
Go check the video tour of the bravo factory in italy, you'll see how high spec cars are built. It's not your average cheap fiat factory line.

Because I have extra equipment in my car, it goes through more quality checks to make sure everything works on top of the driving tests before it leaves the factory.

Fact of my previous post was that most people in UK buy the cheap models, cheap models = cheap crap. If you wanna debate that, knock yourself out.

Meanwhile on the french and spanish bravo forums all I see are high spec models.

By the way, "delusionist" is not a word, we say delusional.:p

I just never realised the new "high spec" Bravos come with EGOdrive too. :D

Higher spec often means more to go wrong, and more expensive when it does. Calling lower spec cars "cheap" and "crap" is insulting. Not everyone can afford higher spec cars and I consider myself very fortunate to be able to own my car at the age of 23. Please rephrase what you are trying to say.

I was a bit insulted at the time because he essentially said that my car was cheap and crap as I own a lower spec 'active' model, suggesting that because his was a higher spec that mine would be of much worse build quality. I just felt that those comments were out of line.

Ok, I probably should have risen above it and ignored the comments. But I still don't see the need to comment that other people's cars (like mine) are cheap crap when it really isn't.

What a ridiculous argument!

Specification has nothing to do with build quality.

In reality, higher specification models are more likely to be unreliable than more standard ones, not less, as there is more on them to go wrong.

Back on topic, most on here seem happy with their bravo so the survey is a bit redundant to owners. It's not the best but it is far from the worst and is good value for money, especially on the used market.

102 Fiat Bravo
Overall 74.3%
Reliability is the real killer for the Bravo, but owners also rated the car below average in every area.

OK you can slate the dealerships etc but the bravo is not what I would call an unreliable car by any means...its miles ahead of the GP is that respect.

The results of the JD Power Surveys are calculated from surveys carried out on owners of the cars, not the Motoring Press or Motor Trade, so clearly owners of Bravo have spoken and judged it to be as bad as the results suggest.

You may not personally agree with the results, but that does not make them inaccurate.

Its a flawed survey...the JD power survey should be done at time of collection of car at dealership after a service etc. Picture the scene, a lexus owner having great satisfaction buMming his car up as he knows the neighbours read the JD results and as he has no life is happy to fill in the survey until his wife gets home from work....not that shes at work but having an affair with an exciting guy who drives a fiat...which is the reason why he dont have time to fill survey in:devil:

ladies (if any) & gentlemen,

HELLO... i'm certain that the report is dated or bonkers... can anyone remember the global recall by Toyota end 2009??? followed by Honda, Peugeot... whatcar.com (or should i call them 'what-a-f#Q$'!.com) reports on JD Powers is truly biased & ignorant of the fact that Lexus & Toyota is unreliable car manufacturer. they should have done their 'homework'.

fyi, although the results show Fiat Bravo ranked bottom 4 doesn't make the car unreliable. by the way, 74.3% of 100% would still mean above average. i do admit that FiAT would have to really stretch out to reach its consumers if they really wants to succeed like what German car makers have been marketing their brands.

frankly, FiAT started out in 2005 with Grande Punto as a reliable car followed shortly by Bravo. i won't really be bothered by what-a-f$%#!.com say as i've been driving my Bravo for the past 3 years & all has been well... the engine revs well & no other issues whatsoever.

the only problem i have with my Bravo.... i don't find enough time driving it... that's the only complain my Bravo have with me...

it's still a 'turn head' good looking on the roads & i'm warmed by the fact i saw 3 zoomed past me this morning on an deserted road in Singapore.

PEOPLE OUT THERE READ THIS... every car has its temperment (more so in Italian stallions) but I know many German & Swedish cars have plenty of problems... it's all about national pride & branding. who's louder in communicating their brands with the consumers out there. that's all i have to say

maybe we should CREATE a POLL on fiat.com forum to find out is this data is reliable or not... i say 'tosh' (@prov: mind if i borrow your expression) to JD Powers & what-a-F^&%!.com

hey guys, cool it off...

whether your Bravo comes as high or low specs is still a Bravo no matter how it is... our Bravos comes from the same factory in Italy... inspected the same way before it gets imported around the globe (except India & China i think as they build their own for domestic use under license by FiAT)

the issue here is on reliability not specs superiority.

focus focus FOCUS on the topic!!!

most importantly, enjoy your ride... :slayer:
