I'd forgotten how much fun it was to work on a car. :)

Have spent 12 hours in the garage with the dremel over the last 3 days and it's really coming together. Roll on easter when she finally gets the full treatment. :)

Have finalised all my decisions now so I know what the full look is going to be so it's all systems go!

@ Skater Boy and Speedy - still up for next weekend?

Dying to see what this is really all about, when are you expexting the big reveal Al?

KeithR

should be ok al, as long as my car gets its cv boot done (we couldn't get the old nut off last night) and it passes its mot.

Dan

Oz, looking forward to seeing Shabash! at brooklands fella

Dan, how comes you couldnt get the hub nut off? either get a big assed bar as extra leverage, or the lil tab thats pushed into the hub spline, get a screwdriver or punch on it and knock it out mate

Andy_sx

we did both of those, with a huge bit of pipe and smacked the f**k out of it to try and move it. not a chance.
Garage is doing it next thursday and mot'ing it as well. fingers crossed.

Dan

hmmm thats one stuck lil bugger then!

fingers crossed all goes alright, ive got to get a new box for patch, get the head gasket done (ill do that aswell bar the skiming of the head) and then give patch a damn good once over before she can get mot'd and then taxed :( happy days! but then its onto leather and other nice things so its not all bad :)

@ Keith - Unvieling will be at Brooklands chap. Don't get too excited though as I'm not really doing anything that's not been done before and as you would expect with me it will all be quite subtle.

@ Dan - nuts dude. Hope it all gets sorted soon and see you next week.

If I use a blowtorch I'll fubar the bearing behind it trust me. I did think of that though.
Garage are doing it for £35 plus the cost of an MOT.

Dan

but its crucial as it affects if I can come or not...

so hush b*tch ;)
