An N appearing on the instrument cluster

I bought a Fiat 500 dolce Vita 2 months ago and all.of a sudden a N symbol comes on when the shift sign is showing. I my speed is 20mph in 2nd gear the N comes on with the shift down sign. I looked in the manual and it's not there
