Hello,

I have decided the time has come to upgrade the speakers in the grande punto to which i have realised i will need an amplifier!

in the front i have put a set of 240w speakers with a RMS of 120w and in the rear a set of 200w speakers with an RMS of 100w

ive recently bought a 1200w 4 channel Juice JA790 amp

What type of hi/lo RCA converter will i need, is it a 4 channel one with two sets of phonos from it, or will a standard one do with a single set of phonos?

Thanks in advance

Tom

No mate these have been tried and tested, they do NOT work! ok so you have a 4 channel amp so you need 2 RCA outputs, i bought an RCA converter as i installed a subwoofer with the stock HU. you will need 2 though! from here or halfords for £7 each -

Using a wiring diagram directly attach the RCA converter into the front and rear speaker wires located at the back of the HU, if you need a wiring diagram check out the guides on installing subwoofers, this way you now have 2 RCA outputs to then run to the amp and then onto the speakers.

Do not get a single RCA converter to 4x RCA outputs you will blow your HU so ive been told, you must run 2 RCA converters, one for the front and one for the rear speakers

I hope this helps

Matt
