Amp V Alternator

right guys i read a thread on here before about sub n amps n alternators, tommorrow i am going to put my 15 inch sub back in the brav, its is 1800w sub and the amp i am going to use with it is 800w, will this have any effect on the alternnator? is it more likely to break because of the amp being used?
