Hi all,
I'm a bit paranoid about my power cabling. When I first installed it I put the wiring in sealed flexible conduit tubing through an existing hole in the firing wall but at the time I was too much of muppet to put a grommet on it (plus I didn't have any spare...). I figured at the time that the wiring would be well protected in the conduit but did get a bit paranoid about it.
I've picked up a oversized grommet today, cut it and wrapped it around the the hole in the firewall, so that I didn't have to cut/rerun any wiring. Its a nice tight fit and the conduit doesnt move at all now.
Is this acceptably safe or should I cut the cable and do this properly? There is a tiny gap in the grommet but I don't think the tubing is gonna move. I would rather not have to rip out the wiring and refeed it as the loom is difficult to take apart without spliceing and crimping.
The wiring is less than 10 gauge thickness.
Thanks in advance!
