Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post.
I have a 1994 Uno 60d Start 1.7.
My alternator failed and when I ordered a replacment part, the new part came without an air intake.
My old alternator had an air intake pipe connected to it.
When I collected the car, the mechanic explained this to me and said the new one doesn't need the pipe. Is this correct or is it possible the part company sent the wrong alternator?
Is there anything wrong with keeping the alternator without the air intake pipe on the car? The mechanic that fitted it has told me it is fine, but just want some reassurance really.
