Hi,
I know there has been alot of talk about this in the forum, but not exactly where I want it. Does anyone know where I could get the 6 CD changer for the Mark 1 Bravo in the Republic of Ireland (apart from a Fiat dealer)??? If so, for how much?
Thanks,
littlefitzer

I tried there..............

Thanks, but no, i tried there, even mailed them and the don't deliver to Ireland. Do you know of anywhere else????

google

try using google till you find one, ask jeeves is ok too

Good Luck

Sent to a 3rd Party?

Why not get it sent to a friend in the North or in England and get them to sent it on?

Another possibilty is to investigate if it is possible to get it delivered to a Post Office in the North ( Newry or somewhere) and collect it from there
(2 possible problems, you no where near Newry, and they don't offer such a service )

Good luck.

3rd party? maybe...

That second option sounds fairly good...I might look into that!!
Thanks everyone!

CD Changer

I take it you've tried the Car Audio companies where you are, I mean all it is really is a Grundig CD Changer or a Sony one with a convertor...

Other places you could try in England are:
http://www.cel-direct.com
Quoted: Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland would normally be delivered within 3-5 working days (subject to stock availability) at a cost of £15-£20. Deliveries to EIRE would normally be delivered within 3-5 days (subject to stock availability) at a cost of £20-30.

http://www.caraudioexpress.co.uk
(say that they will ship outside the UK)

http://www.caraudiodirect.com
List N.Ireland and The Channel Islands, so you might be able to convince them.

Hope this helps

MCD-46

Thanks a million, cel-direct said they have them in stock, and they shipto Ireland. One question are both the 36 and 46 compatable with the head units??

MCD-46

Afraid I don't know, I have a full Sony system )o:

http://www.caraudiodirect.com
List the MCD-46 as the item for Fiat Grundig systems, you could always give them a ring and ask them, then phone Cel Direct and buy it there... (o:

Quoted:
Fiat MCD46
Grundig 6 disc CD changer for all Fiat models (1993 on) fitted with Grundig head unit as standard - No interface required
Some head units are not compatible, please check compatibility before ordering by ringing the sales team
End Quote

I'd say give Car Audio Direct a ring on +44(0)1865 744700 and check with them about compatibility with your specific head unit and then order it from Cel Direct if you want...

Re: CD Changer

what is the converter you talk about for the sony changer ,how does it work ,how much does it cost, where can i get one from?does it work with all sony changers?

cheers for any help

Sony CD Changer Convertor

It's an adapter to make a Sony CD changer work with Stock/OEM head units factory fitted by manufacturers.

I know that Connects2 make these adapters to connect a Sony CD or MD Changer to stock head units in most makes of car...The Fiat ones are listed here...
http://www.connects2.co.uk/Adapters/Fiat.htm
They also make adapters to make the in dash diplays (in Vauxhalls for example) and steering wheel remotes work with Sony head units...

I think these are what a lot of companies are using now to supply CD Changers for stock head units, probably because Sony CD changers are quite cheap and use a standard 2xRCA sound output + 1 control lead. Also if you can make a Sony CD Changer work with it you can make a Sony MD Changer work with it also which I suppose gives a greater choice.

I have heard however that you can get similar convertors for Kenwood and even Alpine equipment, but I only specifically know of Connects2 who only support Sony equipment.
