General Alloy Wheel Fitting

Please Help i recently got my hands on a set of Toora 17's 4 stud to fit my nosejob multi but when the garage offered them up to the hub only 2 of the holes lined up, the other 2 seemed slightly offset. is there any way around this? if not i will have to sell them.
Any advice from you experienced forum members would be gratefully appreciated.

The Multipla uses 4x98. If your wheels almost fit, it could be that they are 4x100. If you don't know the measures on your wheels, measure the distance from center to center on the bolt pattern, see picture.

The bolts should go in even if you have 4x100, but it could be the reason. If that's the problem, just get some corrective bolts and you're fine. This only works on 4x100->4x98, not if the difference is bigger. Also make sure that the centre bore is 58,1mm.

I'd agree and say they are probably 4x100 so should fit with PCD correction bolts (otherwise known as 'wobbly' bolts and readily available from ebay or motor factors). However, when you say 2 line up and the others don't I'd also say it's likey that the centre bore is wrong, when offering the wheel up did it sit snugly on the hub or was it loose? If it was loose you'll also need spigot rings to correct that (as ChuChu says, 58.1mm is the magic number).

Aside from that, you also need to check the offset (ET).

Absolutely brilliant Thank You! As you can imagine i was suprised when the fitter just looked at me and said, no good. I will double check tonight when i get home. As they are a set of 17" Toora's and were an option from Fiat it should have been straight forward.

Hi Chu Chu, one more question please i have looked inside the alloy and it's a Toora T945 7JX17 H2 and the distance between the 2 holes diagonally measures 110mm. Does that mean that i will never get these to fit?

The only way you're going to be able to get them to fit is with hub adaptors, but these are very expensive (I've seen them for around £200 a pair, and you'll need 2 pairs!). Even if you decide to go that route, hub adaptors are very thick - around 30mm sometimes, so will push the wheel a lot further out from the hub. I'd say it's not worth it tbh. Btw, chances are more likely it's 4x108 as that's a very common fit for Ford, BMW, Audi, and many more.

You're right, 4 x 108 sounds correct. After doing much research i now understand a lot more about this so once again thanks very much for the advice.

Easiest thing to do is look at wheels off of other 4-stud Fiat, Alfa, Lancia etc as they'll all share a common centre bore and PCD (except the Grande Punto) so the only variations really are in offset. Something like the 16's off of a 500 would look swish on a Multi I reckon

First things first, i'm gonna take some decent pics and put them up for Sale. No point hanging around they have just been refurbished and look great.

Sorry to hear you got the wrong fitment. The original 17's on the Multipla were 7,5"x17", offset (ET)=31,5mm, 4x98mm bolt pattern, and 58,1mm centre bore. In general almost every original 17" Fiat wheels will fit, but check the data to be sure. There's plenty of wheels to choose from to fit the Multi. I'm very happy with my choice:
