OK so a while ago I looked on 'tinterweb at alloy wheel re-furb options and got a quote of £320 from a company on the Tyburn Road in B'ham. Too much thought I, so I did nothing.

A week later I got an e-mail.... 10% reduction if I get it done before the end of Feb... hmmm..... £290.... did nothing.

Last night I got a phone call... "we can do your wheels for £220.10p inc vat... drive in drive out, in anthracite powder coated etc etc"... well known company and Quentin Wilson had his Merc wheels done there.... he's an eye for a bargain...

Now is £220.10p a good price, all 4 wheels, I just drive it in, leave it, come back and drive home.... Simplezzzzz....

yep thats a good price(y)

just depends on whether you really need them done or not:confused:

Cheers Mikeee, would be good to get confirmation from the Forum members who have had theirs done too but I am afraid I do need them doing.... out of warranty now and all 4 wheels are losing their lacquer and colour, will get rapidly worse IMO judging by the way the stuff comes off once its started. Probably the worst issue I have with my car but I forgive it that.
Poor preparation or conditions when they were made I think.

get them done black Ffoxy there is a New Orleans GPS somewhere on the forum with them in black looks awesome

Cheers Ninja, colour is subjective TBH, I like anthracite which is quite dark anyway, just curious if £220 is a good price or if anyone knows of the same service offered for less.... there is a Credit Crunch on lol!

I do think gloss black would look amazing but Ffoxy is an old man:p

they are pretty set in their ways:D

I could take you to bits Mr Mikeee.... ask dave.... :D

You would be very surprised at my ways and condition! (y)

Go for anthracite! As seen as they're getting done get them slightly different.

I paid £55 per wheel when I had mine done on the punto but they were 15s, have recently been quoted £55 per wheel for the 14s on my pug.
£220 seems to be about the going rate...

If its a good price then I'll go for it methinks... however it will ultimately cost me £400.... Mrs Ffoxy will be coming with me so I can spend an equivalent amount on her at The Mail Box shopping centre while I wait.... :bang:

Intersting point on the centres Jamie... they spray them the same colour as the wheels so I am left with a little job to do. Suggestions other than Abarth or Red replacements welcomed...
