All sump plugs the same?

All sump plugs the same?

I don't know if a Marea diesel sumplug is different from petrol versions, but I doubt it would be.

The one featured in your link is removed with an allen key, not with a spanner as you state(?) I have an identical replacement sumplug going cheaper if you want it

Hiya, mine comes off with a 'star key' not quite the same as an Allen key.

The reason I used a spanner is because the star was rounded, so I hacksawed the edges so I could fit a spanner on it.

I will check for the part numbers to see if they all match up, I need the washer as well as I think that's the main culprit to the leak.

I've never used a new washer after a dozen oil changes. I use non setting jointing compound on both sides of the old washer. It works a treat

dont be tight, new copper washers are only a few pence!

better than having to drain all the oil off and refill, unless you used the old oil, yuk!
