http://www.ahmotorsports.co.uk/index2.htm found in grande punto section looks like it fits straight on to jtd 8v and 16v 5 speed and 6 speed would the diff require removing for the clutch to be changed? if so would be worth while changing it at the same time to save fitting labour cost. if not what is involved in fitting?

It would be best to take the gearbox out and then remove/replace the diff as IIRC there has to be a specific preload placed on it by inserting a specific preload spacer - while the 'box is out it might be worth checking / replacing / uprating the clutch also.

it wont fit the stilo 8v jtd. only the 8v mjtd and 16v mjtd. it is because the gearboxes are different.

Quality, i've just read that guide, i think the guy has simplified the procedure just a tad, LOL.

Quality that - does need checking of the preload though as well as wheel alignment as the subframe came off
