Technical Alfa 147 front seats into Punto Mk 2

Hi
A question re Alfa 147 front seats into Punto Mk 2.
I have 2 front Alfa seats and want to put them into the Punto.
But the Alfa seats have airbags while the Punto does not-
will they fit?
and
is it possible to remove the airbag mechanism from the Alfa seats without damaging them?

I would guess that the seat airbags are connected to the alfa wiring with a block connector under the seat. So just undo the connector and then obviously there is nothing to plug into in the punto so just tape it up or cable tie out the way?
