Alarm Range

The range on my toad ai606 alarm seems to some what suck. Have mates with the same alarm and there range on it is alot better! Ive changed the battery in the fob as well.
Would anyone know why this is?
Or maybe how to extend my range? Would it be to do with where the box is placed in the car? Mines down by the heater vent in the foot well.

some one once told me that if you phone someone who is near your car if you are anywhere in the world it will unlock or lock the car...

so my theory is, put a cheap phone in the glovebox on auto answer... then you can unlock and lock the car from anywhere

plus you'll hear it lock when it goes "BLIP"

I though of that before but wasn't sure. The aerial wire is quite a thin cable, just tap into it i guess? Any suggestions of a good place to run the new wire to as well?

well 1st i would try different routing if you say your mates have 'better' range.
im still unsure why you need it? as long as the doors are unlocked when you get to the car then whats the issue?

I would just like to unlock it from further away i guess, seeing as all my mates can just wondered why mine didn't thats all really. Having full closure and that i think its pretty cool lol
