Just a quick question, what does it mean when the alarm LED Stays on after you have opened the car and got in?
I unlocked the car using the remote (standard Fiat Alarm) and when i got in the led staye don constant then when I started the engine it went out. Any Ideas?
I am using the spare key as the one i normally use the battery died today so i need to get a new one

it usually means the battery in the fob is going flat.
or, the contacts may be dirty.

Re: Re: Alarm LED

Sorry Craig, are you on about the LED on the Key? I am on about the LED on the dash. I only noticed it now I have changed keys as the other one went flat and it was not doing it with that key

Re: Re: Re: Alarm LED

i mean the light on the dash.

check the contacts are clean in both keys. blue tack is ideal for removing greasy finger prints etc.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Alarm LED

Sorry thought you were on about the light on the key. So do you mean the contacts for the battery? Will take em apart and give a spring clean

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Alarm LED

Cheers for the help.

I cleaned the inside of the key and cleaned the contact and it is still doing so not much luck there.

On another note, I put new batteries in my other key today as I though they were flat as it was not working the alarm/central locking, and with the new batteries in still does not work. Does anyone have any ideas or will I need a new key?

If you have the red key you can reprogram it...

I have the red key, how do you go about programing keys with the red key? I have not got a manual.
