very confused ..
please do help members ~~

you want an alarm that does all that you're gonna have to spend some serious cashola I'm afraid.

This shouldn't have an effect on the standard immobiliser as that is deactivated by the key in the ignition.

ta for the reply
i dont min spending cash however why do i see alarms go for less on ebay such as these prime exampels which are from the same manufacturer but with different features. however the price is very low

can they be fitted on or will there be a prob somehwere?

These all seem pretty modular like any other alarm. I expect most of the price goes to fitting and the complexity of the alarm.

Also, this doesn't look like it's a CAT 1 alarm which means your insurance company may not recognise it. If you get a Thatcham approve alarm fitted by an approved dealer it's pretty safe to safe to alarm is gonna do it's job and give you a healthy insurance discount. When I bought my alarm there were very few approved with total closure, unsure about now though.

At the end of the day an alarm is a remote controlled buzzer with some motion detectors stuck on, you're really paying for how good the components are, the features - such as total closure - and how easy/difficult is it to steal you car. I paid a bucketload for my alarm and as far as I'm concerned it's unstealable (bar being lifted onto a flatbed lorry), but it doesn't stop towrags putting a brick through the window and ripping out your stereo in 10 seconds flat.

Hope this helps.

that is why i origianlly stated that alarm has to be of a lower price this is because i usually never keep anything in sight of the car

but an oppurtunist theif will take something with alarm or not..
its only a deterrent

but to ensure safety you have to help out as well

besides insurance discounts if this alarms works the same as a category approved ones then i wouldnt mind as i know the approved one will got for much more £££..

well if all you're looking for is something to lock the doors, close the windows and have a wee flashing light you might as well go for it. I don't think this'll do your sunroof though, that's a bit more difficult as it can be opened/closed in 2 ways as opposed to a window which is just "up". You should ask the seller.

appreciate the constant replies from yourself

i was contemplating about the sunroof however i think it will seal it shut but then you will need to manually operate it if you require it to be at the angled opening but can b fully opened and closed by the device
im sure of it

will this do the boot though
as that is by key and by lever> so im sure this wont be possible?

I'm not 100% sure but if you want the boot to open with remote you'd need a solenoid or something to pull the release mechanism. It can be done but again it's gonna cost.

The sunroof is a tricky area, I suppose it could be controlled on 1 axis to open and close, like when it's fully open, I'm not too sure what would happen if the sunroof was up and you tried to close it. Again I would recommend speaking to person selling the alarm and ask it's abilities.
