I thought i'de wander on here with the problem i'm having my bravo (51 reg 1.6 HLX)

Basically, when i try to de-activate the alarm with the key nothing happens. The LED light flashses but the car doesnt respond. I've tried changing the battery and nothing. This wouldn't be such a problem as i can still get in through the boot but i've come to realise now that i wasn't sold the emergency keys or the master red key...

do any of you know if this is a know fault, or say the battery has run flat? i really just don't know how to go about this problem and would rather not have to call someone out to look at it.

Thanks

I can see that being worth a try. Is there any kind of explanation for why it just stopped working though?

Not really. Its usally a bad problem if it completely stops. As the RCL ECU for the alarm is situated in the Ceiling light. Now the common fault is water can leak in via the aerial. What does the water drip on? Yep, the RCL ecu.

Good luck anyway mate.

The alarm just went off and in my scrambling to get in i discovered that battery is dead. Recon thats probably it.
