General Airco turns on automatically

We have a Fiat 500L 1.4 16v 2012.
When we start the car, the air conditioning always turns on automatically. How can I disable this so it doesn't turn on automatically?

Just an idea: if you switch off the A/C before turning off the engine, what happens when you restart the eingine? does the A/C switches on automatically, too?

Have you checked the owner's handbook on how the A/C system works?

After turning off the AC, and then after turning off the car and restarting it, it comes back on. The manual doesn't mention this.

I tried to check if there is something related to activating this in MES, but can't see anything.

However MES shows to different A/C types: manual and automatic dual zone.

I assume yours is the automatic dual zone. Am I right?

If you lower the fan speed to 2 and the heating to a more ambient temperature? I assume it will probably start with the A/C on But perhaps not?

I'd say to connect it to MES and test if there are no errors and the buttons / relays function properly.

Okay, that's it, I'm going to have the car scanned.

Make sure the scanner will connect to the BCM and A/C modules. For example MES allows you to test if the buttons and relays work properly.
