Technical Airbag warning lamp

While raising the steering wheel a bit the airbag lamp came on today.
Guess there must be a loose connection in the airbag wire harness.
Anybody seen the failure before?

Nothing to do but dust off the Uniscan gear and get the error cleared and go trouble shooting.

Only problem I have had in that area was the horn push failure, common in Mareas. The horn sounds as you turn the wheel without you commanding it. I solved it with a new relay in a new socket and sounding the horn from a microswitch on the column. I mainly did this as I hated working in that area with the airbag in my face!

Interesting you mention about the horn sounding when turning the wheel, mine does this very occasionally, touch wood its been silent for the past week!
