Hi all, long time now speak ?

I was wondering whether anyone knows where I can get a passenger airbag switch for my Punto?

I've had the driver and passenger airbag lights cluttering my dashboard like the Blackpool illuminations for as long as I can remember now!

I've had it code read a few times now and each time it either doesn't show up or shows up as a passenger airbag switch... I've had the light put out every time and then a few days later they both pop back up again. It's quite frustrating really.

I've been told that an over filled glove box can cause problems, but my glove box is near enough empty and has been the whole time I've had the car.

Any ideas?
Cheers,

Rhys

P.S; Here's the switch I'm looking for:

Just had my switch replaced by Fiat. Took 30 Minutes. No more airbag light on and off for now.

Mine had the same problem, I bought the modified wiring loom from eBay for £18.99 and fitted it myself, it's not really that difficult as long as you disconnect the battery for around an hour to be safe and ensure that there isn't going to be any stored charge in the airbag circuit.

Watch the video, it explains all

Dealer price on this kit is about £8 I certainly wouldn't bother buying off eBay not at those prices

If you are not comfortable with car wiring and electronics I strongly suggest you do not tackle this your self

Inflation doing fine at the Fiat main dealers - current price quote me was £73.09 + VAT (2019) Anyone know how to source it cheaply?

Even the newest U.K. mk2b cars are now 13 years old. It may be that fiat made a supply of these cables which is now depleted and any new ones have to be made in smaller batches, which given there is likely to be a low demand now it going to make the cost of those batches high, hence the price increase
