Hi,

We have a 2019 Fiat Tipo Easy/Street.
We have recently repaired it from damage to the driver's side doors - airbags were NOT deployed.

It was showing the airbag light on the dash so we assumed that it still triggered the sensor for some reason.
We sent it off to have this reset; on return it said no crash data was found, but the errors had been reset.
The errors printout are in the photo below.
Unsurprisingly, when fitted back into the car, dashboard light came straight back on.

Any clues or ideas?

What diagnostic tool did you use before sending module for testing?
Don't know if any help but some time ago I had an issue with a passenger seat occupancy sensor on a 2010 Fiat Punto Evo causing Airbag error codes etc. Unfortunately the previous owner had tried to repair it and in doing so bypassed a resistor and damaged the Air Bag Module/BCM (don't know if your vehicle has a separate Body Computer?) however even after fitting the new BCM and seat occupancy sensor I still had to use my Mates Snap On Zeus at his garage to identify all the separate modules related to the Air bag system using the "proxi alignment " program, then delete any error codes before it would recognise everything and put all the error lights out.
So presumably errors stored in main ECU as well as Air bag module.

We didn't - as we bought it accident damaged we assumed it was probably linked.
But we have just put new doors on and painted them, rather than dent replacing the original.
Maybe something linked there?
But definitely sounds like worth double checking resistors, etc, and checking in on the main ECU..
And maybe just the wiring and fuses whilst we're there!
Afterall, Fiat isn't exactly known for it's hardy wiring!!

But thank you for that - definitely all worth a look!

Might be worth hooking up to a good garage diagnostic tool like I did, luckily for me I get free use as when I retired I passed customers on to him, plus he still does my Mots.;)
