Technical Airbag Light 2nd Stage

I had to change the steering wheel on the 2008 Pop as it was heavily worn. Upon re-connecting it back up it produced the airbag light on the dash.

I have put MES onto it and it comes up with the 2nd Stage airbag resistance as present.

Any ideas how to correct the error? As far as I am aware, it was all connected back up correctly and there was no fault before I swapped out the wheel.

Did you use a 2008 replacement?
Typecastboy will advise I believe you cannot use a wheel from say a 2015 car, think there was a change around 2012 re the air bags

The steering wheel was the only change, from a 2012 pop. No change of airbag etc, its still the original airbag.

Its fixed. Looked at the parameters in MES and the 2nd stage signal reading was running low. 1.5 instead of 4. Removed airbag and disconnected and reconnected the wires and also looked at one wire had a minor kink. All back to normal with the reading now
