So guys this is driving me bananas. I topped the oil up on my 2013 Punto pop and when I turned on the ignition an airbag failure message appeared from nowhere.
I replaced the airbag module but it was the wrong part so got the right part
and paid for it to be installed again, problem is still there. Tried to get it configured both times (ill post a pic of what last diagnosistic/configuration showed up.) but they couldn't configure it. Anyone help at all that's been through the same? I just don't get why it showed up after topping up the oil? It's like me closing the bonnet caused the issue maybe with the sensors but shouldn't replacing the module have sorted that? It's been a good little car but ATM the only option I have also already paying £500 is possibly scrapping it!

Once had a problem on a 96 Renault. It was a bad connection under the seat. I was told to cut off connectors and solder the wires and it cured it. I think SRS changed the connectors not long after but a poor connection could be the issue somewhere. I really hope you can find it. Its a mad thing to finish a car off. As ever if playing with wiring on airbags disconnect battery first. It could be seat occupancy sensor or somehting else.
