Yep, i'm sure your right, are you going to get a punto one and try it?
LUIGI

yeah, gonna go to fiat parts desk and hope that they're not complete idiots and actually know how to order stuff with chassis or reg numbers. Have had mixed luck with VW parts as some staff can be very unhelpful. Should be able to get down tomorrow.

Hi. My apologies if I muddied the waters with my posts.

I saw that by post 5 it had already been identified ,prior to my contribution, that the round vents, which the O.P. liked, were from a Punto and appeared photoshopped into the picture.

I saw that these round vents appeared to be chrome rimmed? My aim , in a well-meaning sort of way, was to point out that the STANDARD Qubo air vents could be dressed up with the shiny kit from FIAT on the link I quoted.

Also, that COLOURED anodised surrounds for the standard vents are shown in the FIAT Qubo brochure on the link I posted- has anyone seem or got those?

Anyway,it's all sorted now; apologies again if my attempts to contribute caused confusion!

I went to fiat for a price on the punto vents but as I didn't have a vin no (even though there was a punto infront of the parts desk in the showroom!!) he couldn't give me a definate price. The fella said there were a few options for different vents but they all came out at about £60 each!!!! Will just have to wait for the 500 vents to turn up from eBay and see how they fit/look.

Or it looks like a trip to a breakers yard.

Not only that, but the parts computer was out the back so the dude had to keep walking off then coming back. It just seems that no matter what make of car you have dealing with parts people is very hard. Trying to order my bulkhead from 2 different Citroen dealers was hard to say the least. Ended up getting one off eBay. Unless you know the parts guy, or only if he understands modifying cars, getting parts for a car they're not meant for is very tricky.

So the more I look at the standard vents the more I hate them. Have taken a massive gamble and gone a completely different route and purchased 4 vents off ebay.

New vents should be here for around the 7th of Jan. Will have to wait until then to find out what I've got!! By then I''l have received the 500 vents so will see if they are a simple swap. Did the absolute minimum research with these new vents. All I know is they are round!! Could end up being far too big for the Nemo dash. Time will tell.

This project is going to have to go on the back burner for a while! Received my nice new shiny 500 vents, took the standard vents out to see what would need to be done, and it turns out quite a lot does!! The blower pipes in the dash are quite small diameter and the 500 vents are a mile too big to fit inside. Looks like the dash will need to be taken apart, pipes trimmed back, and adapted with a larger pipe so the vent can sit inside it.

Shame it's going to be so much work as the vents look 1000 times better!

Also, I'd never noticed until I took the vent covers off the dash that the centre vents are smaller than the vents by the window! Only had the van 3 years! It's quite obvious now though when I look at them!
