Well here it is
It is possible to gain extra storage for using the airbag panel as a door for extra storage space
The space behind is quite big but the available space is limited but still worth it
It took a while to design a box that is fairly usable and simple in construction
To give you an idea of the finished size you can fit in four cans of coke
The box is made of 4mm fibre board simply fixed together with mitre bond and have also made a slide out tray for easier access
The Door has a concealed butt hinge which again is bonded to the door in the centre bottom and screwed to one of the widend cutouts that are all ready there in the dash frame
There will be more updates on this project when I've completed it but here are pictures so fare
Plans of the box will be available aswell as will detailed instructions of how to do this conversion
Please note though this is for non passenger Airbag versions only
